Topic: When is a Paralegal engaging in the Unauthorized Practice of Law
Paralegals are given varied and wide responsibilities by the attorneys they work for.
However, those responsibilities are constrained by the prohibition against the
unauthorized practice of law. But what tasks, duties and responsibilities cross over
into that restricted area? This presentation will examine the permissible and
impermissible “legal” activities that a paralegal may engage in.
